The LetMeSpeak economy is designed to boost people’s motivation and learning results.
A Web2 language learning economy typically works the following way:
- Value flows one way. You exchange money for a learning experience.
- You don’t have any control over the economy, company directors and shareholders do.
- You do not enter into economic relationships with other system participants.
The LetMeSpeak Web3 economy works very differently:
- Values flow both ways. From you to the ecosystem and from the ecosystem to you.
- You can influence governance of the ecosystem.
- You enter into economic relationships with other ecosystem participants.
Technology
The goal is to create the smoothest and safest Web3 language learning experience for 1 billion people, where no blockchain knowledge is required to learn, earn and spend.
They are using Solana Blockchain as the core for our Web3 infrastructure. Users benefit from low transactions fees (from $0.00001) and high throughput (up to 50,000 transactions per second).
The vision for the world is multi-chain. Cross-chain solutions like Wormhole will help make it easier to bring crypto-natives from other chains to LetMeSpeak.
In the near future, they may integrate additional L1s that would help deliver the smoothest possible experience to users at scale.
They work with leading cyber security experts to keep LetMeSpeak ecosystem infrastructure safe and conduct formal security audits. We plan to introduce a formal bug bounty programme in due course.
Go-to-market
They have helped more than 2 million people so far to learn English. More than 700,000 people used LetMeSpeak in April 2022, more than 5x since January 2022 alone.
The metaverse went live in February 2022. As of 31 May 2022:
- 16,000+ people had spent in total more than $25,000,000 on buying NFT Characters.
- More than 36,000 NFT Characters are being used to Learn-and-Earn.
They plan to continue expanding rapidly:

The LSTAR is the in-game currency of the LMS metaverse. It is used to reward people for learning English and for redistributing value between community members and NFT owners. LSTARs have utility inside the game, and are freely transferable outside of it.
During the initial growth stage LetMeSpeak is ready to sell/issue LSTAR in-game currency for 0.03 USDC, and to buy back LSTARs at 0.02 USDC (subject to funds availability in Treasury and governance token holder decisions). This range may change in the future with prior notice.
