MetaDerby Coin is a horse racing and breeding inspired metaverse where anyone can earn tokens through skilled gameplay and contribution to building the They -verse. In the MetaDerby-verse, they want to tap into the long historical relationship between humans and horses.
Horse racing is one of the most ancient of all sports, as its basic premise – to identify which horse is the fastest over a set course – has been unchanged since at least classical antiquity. Meanwhile the history of horse breeding goes back millenia, with one of the earliest people known to document the breedings of their horses being the Bedouin of the Middle East, the breeders of the Arabian horse.
MetaDerby With the advent of mechanical forms of transportation, the century old relationship humans have had with horses dissipated. Slowly and gradually, the enjoyment of horse racing and the knowledge of horse breeding are relegated only to the selected few.
With the possibilities of blockchain, NFT, tokens, and the advent of a global play-to-earn community, they want to create a metaverse where humans can reconnect with ancient friends and celebrate this unique relationship between humans and horses.

Class System and Matchmaking Rating (MMR)
In MetaDerby, we are aiming to create a unique growing journey for each of the horses to provide a sense of achievement for players. Each horse begins its journey with a class of 5 except the free horse. The only way to upgrade your horse to a new class is through earning enough Matchmaking Rating (MMR) from the race. A MMR is an indicator of the past performance of the horse in the races, with a higher MMR suggesting a better overall performance of the horse (You should be proud of it!).
